Hardware Highlights
Duofold is a privacy-enhancing system
which offers increased flexibility. The moving center and bottom rails lower
the shade from the top down, the bottom up or both. Duofold is perfect for
bedrooms, bathrooms and anywhere flexibility in light and privacy control is
required.
Features include color coordinated components, child safe break-away cord
tassels, a high performance cord lock system, a flexible fabric attachment
system and an updated equalization system with years of proven field
performance. The default control configuration: Left cord lowers moveable
middle rail - right cord raises the bottom rail.

light diffusion, energy efficiency and UV protection in an elegant 1/2" cell.

No Charges Options
The standard brackets can be used for both inside or outside mount installations
and the number of brackets provided is based on the width. Extension Brackets,
Hold-Down Brackets, Spacer Blocks and Cord Cleats are provided upon request at
no additional charge.
Extension Brackets:
Optional Extension Brackets are used to project the back of the shade up to
2-3/8'' from the mounting surface. Attach the Installation Bracket to the
Extension Bracket with the nut and bolt provided.
1/2'' Spacer Blocks:
Spacer blocks are used to project the installation bracket away from the
mounting surface when additional clearance is required.
Hold-Down Brackets:
Hold-Down Brackets are ordered when a shade is placed on a door (or window
with high wind exposure) to prevent the shade from swinging back and forth.
Side Mount
Installation:
When no mounting surface is available at the top
of the window a common practice is to employ a Side Mount (example left). An
additional deduction will be taken from the ordered width to ensure a proper
fit. When side mount is selected on the ordering form the appropriate
brackets will be included based on the lift system selected. Side Mount is
for inside mount applications only.

End-Cap to End-CapIs used when you have a window in
multiple sections and you want to install the shades side by side. The
headrail will arrive at the ordered width (including end-caps) and the
fabric will measure ordered width less 3/16 of an inch. Outside Mount only.

Cleaning
and Care
Fabric Stiffness
To prolong the life of both the fabric and internal lift cords you should
completely raise/lower the shade at least two to three times a week. This will
help to maintain the shade's overall flexibility and strength preventing
stiffness and premature cord breakage.
Fabric Care & Cleaning
The light filtering fabrics are inherently antistatic and repel dust, but
occasional cleaning may be necessary to keep the fabrics clean and bright. The
fabric can be dusted with a soft, clean cloth, feather duster or lightly
vacuumed with a soft brush attachment. Spills and stains can be lightly blotted
with a cloth or damp sponge. More difficult stains may require soaking in water
with mild soap. For this, remove the shades from the window and soak in warm
water. DO NOT submerge the Cordless Ultra head rail in water. When damp, lay
flat to dry or place back in window and raise tightly to recrisp pleats. Please
test any stronger cleaners on an unobtrusive portion of the shade before using.

When no frame is available above the window for mounting, a
common practice is to use L-Brackets in conjunction with the
standard brackets. The factory will make an additional
deduction from the ordered width to accommodate the
L-Bracket. Side Mount is for inside mount only.
Shallow Mount refers to the bare minimum
mounting depth required to be able to install the product
and have it function properly. Shallow Mount does not
provide enough room to install the shade fully recessed
within the opening and so part of it will project out
(example above).
Surface: 3/4"
Flush Mount
refers to the mounting depth required if you want the shade
to be installed so that it is fully recessed within the
window opening (example above). Surface: 2"
